Horay for APT-MIRROR!!!!

I can proudly say that I have set up my own Ubuntu APT Repository. Granted its only for local use and not available to anyone else, but it has made updating computers on the network A LOT quicker and saves A LOT of my bandwidth.

The only downside being you have to devote a lot of time and bandwidth setting one up. (thankfully my college has kindly devoted their bandwidth, at least when I have my laptop at school) I have about 11.5 gigs in my personal repository and it grows every night.

Yes, that is the question. But what is the Answer? The answer is "because Microsoft is an evil empire bent on ruling the world and I have no choice but to bow down and accept this." That is if I want to play all the games I have bought over the years. Unfortunately, not all games are fully Linux compatible. (thank you ID software and Unreal)

I have been taking on the daunting task of completely REINSTALLING windows (shudder) on my home PC. It is taking forever and a day.

WHY did I ever like windows......oh yeah, the games.

We had a lovely little ice storm that knocked out our power and 17 other houses. You think that such a small scale outage would have been fixed by now, but no.
