Yes, that is the question. But what is the Answer? The answer is "because Microsoft is an evil empire bent on ruling the world and I have no choice but to bow down and accept this." That is if I want to play all the games I have bought over the years. Unfortunately, not all games are fully Linux compatible. (thank you ID software and Unreal)
I have been taking on the daunting task of completely REINSTALLING windows (shudder) on my home PC. It is taking forever and a day.
WHY did I ever like windows......oh yeah, the games.
